V1: audience panels with services underneath

Our recommendation

Keeps the public and private split already in place and gives the services somewhere to live. Each panel leads with the audience page, so it stays prominent on phones and tablets where tapping a heading opens the panel rather than following the link.

Programmes are promoted in context rather than given their own section. Gateley Mint on UK business bank account opening and the private sector page. Gateway2UK on market entry and the private sector page. Empowering Freeports on programme design and delivery, and the public sector page. Growing your local economy on investment attraction, the public sector page and Insight. Business Builder on programme design and delivery, and the private sector page.
new new page to create exists live today, not currently reachable from this section

Two things worth noting

  • Gateway2UK moves out of the top navigation. It is one programme, in one sector, for one type of buyer, so it would be promoted on the market entry and private sector pages instead.
  • Labels shortened. "Supporting the public sector" and "Supporting the private sector" work well as page headings but are long for navigation. The fuller wording stays as the page heading, and leads each panel.

V2: if we add a sector route

Second phase

The same structure as V1 with a sectors route added. The seven sectors are Gateley Global's own published description of its industry experience, taken from the hub page.

Why this is a second phase. Life sciences is supported by Gateway2UK and the West Midlands work, cleantech by Empowering Freeports, and financial services by the banking articles. The other four have almost nothing behind them. The same list also appears on the inward investment page with only five sectors, so which version is correct is worth confirming first.
